Vriende van ons het onlangs tydens 'n blommekyk-toer by die Blou Nartjie in Calvinia geslaap. Hulle was baie beïndruk met die lekker ontbyt.
Die Blou Nartjie is the oldest building in Calvinia (circa 1820). The walls are 600 to 900mm thick and have ceilings of five meters high. It was built in Neo Gothic style and has been beautifully restored. The establishment has a restaurant which is fully licensed and has an a' la carte menu which includes traditional foods like "bobotie" and lamb pie. Reservations are compulsory.
